Karuna Charities New York, Inc. is celebrating its 29th anniversary. Requests for help have increased exponentially due to COVID related unemployment, inflation and natural disasters. We have had to be very selective, due to our limited finances. Karuna has donated over a million dollars in cash and more than 200 thousand in goods since its inception. During the past year, we donated money to local food banks and food pantries and sent $28,900 to India alone, to help many pediatric cancer victims, and adults suffering from cancer, cardiac and kidney issues meet their medical needs. This year we have contributed more than $15,000 to date. Our annual dinner is coming up and we publish a souvenir which is a valuable marketing tool.
Karuna Charities works solely to provide help for extremely deserving cases, who may otherwise have little or no recourse. Every dollar contributed goes fully to charitable purposes, without any administrative withholding. Every donation makes a difference and takes us one step closer to building a healthier community.
